HIIIIIIIIIIIII



Hello hello! My life is great. My week was great. My companion is great. And I have a funny translation for you: Elvis in chinese is translated to Cat King. Mao wang. Funny right?

 

Dangit. My computer just got weird and exited out all my stuff... This will be quite short due to lack of time and a decent computer :) Forgive me!

 

Quick rundown:

 

Mibo is a cute fiesty little 10 year old in a family we're meeting with. We're best friends now and are making cookies together this week. It'll be fun. When we were talking about how the earth was created, she yelled out, "THAT'S FALSE!!!!" I asked her to explain and she said, "no no, it's really like this: The sun and the moon had a baby and the earth came out! There was no person who created it!" It was quite funny, I've never heard it explained like that :)

 

We also had a talent show for english, great success. We went to a very far away place (2 hour bike ride) and it was wonderful. On our way back my bike completely broke. The chain went crazy and the back part just somehow turned... it was weird and hard to explain, but its far to expensive to fix, so I'm just riding an tiny old sisters bike left here for the next few weeks. It will be fun haha :)

 

One of my favorite parts of the week was when we went and sang to an old grandpa and his family in the hospital. He had a stroke and couldn't sing, or understand chinese. I got to use my rusty taiyu and Sister shen could speak with him. At the end we sang a song to comfort him and he got all teary eyed. It made me really happy. We get to do cool things every single day. I wish I could write more, a long letter next week, I promise :)
